Here's our next edition of the Big Questions. Today we cover subjects such as dimming and solar light installation.
Q: How many lamps can I put on my dimmer? A: The Varilight V Pro that we sell has a minimum load of 10 watts or 2 lamps, and a maximum of 100 watts or 10 lamps.
Not meeting, or exceeding this may lead to overheating.
Q: My G4 LEDs are too big. What can I do? A: We have recently added a smaller G4 to our range, with a different construction from the disc type. We have them in 1.5 and 2.5 watt.

Q:Can I dim my LED strip? A: Yes, with a
dimmable transformer, and a standard rotary dimmer. However,
multi colour strip can be dimmed via the remote controller, so there is no need for a dimmable transformer.
Q: Why do some of your transformers have flex attached? A: These are IP67 rated, and as such can be used in wet areas.

Q: Have you got a 100 watt equivalent lamp? A: Currently, the highest output standard lamp we offer is the
9 watt bulb which would replace a 60 watt incandescent lamp.
Q: What are lumens? A: Lumens are a measure of the total amount of visible light from a lamp or light source. The higher the lumen rating, the brighter the lamp will appear. Please note that the lumen figures in the thumbnail pictures are for the cool white option, which is slightly higher than the warm or daylight options. The full information can be found in the product description under "see technical information"
Q: How do I turn on my Victorian spike light? A: Sorry if it's not clear. Remove the top. the on off switch is inside the lantern.
Q: How do I connect the solar panel to my solar floodlight? A: The jack socket is concealed under a plastic plug at the rear of the lamp.
