Welcome to our second installment of The Week's Big Questions, where we answer customer queries from the past week.
Q: Can I use my existing 12v transformers when I swap to LED MR16s?
A: There can sometimes be problems when upgrading to LED low voltage
MR16 bulbs due to the difference in wattage between halogen and LED. The minimum load requirement of the existing halogen transformer may not be met by the lower load of the LED MR16 lamps. Therefore we suggest upgrading the transformers to LED compatible types, which have a lower minimum load. See all
LED transformers here Q: Can I turn the sensor off on my LED floodlight?
A: The PIR sensor on the floodlight cannot be over ridden. We suggest that if you want this option, use an external PIR with a standard, non-PIR floodlight. Another alternative is to set 3 controls to extremes to suit your needs. Eg permanently turn on the Lux setting for the light to be on all evening.

A: Yes, but make sure you install an
RGB amplifier to boost the control voltage and ensure that the strips run in sync.
