What are kelvins?
15 April 2015
One of the great benefits of LEDs is that they come in different colours/shades of white, which can be used to create an optimised ambience in your home. However, you'll often see a kelvin (K) value next to these colours, and you may be wondering what this actually means. Kelvin is a unit measurement for the colour temperature of light, and is used to determine the shade of white rendered by LEDs. Below you can see a chart of where the most popular LED colours sit on the kelvin chart: *Please note: The measurements on this chart are based on the LUMiLife products we supply at LEDHut.co.uk. Figures may vary depending on manufacturer.
