LEDs were recently placed at the heart of one of California's hottest spots for creative exuberance.
Venice, California, used to be a hub of hippy activity in the '60s and continues to be reknowned for a unique and vibrant scene that's home to hundreds of artists, performers and muscians. So what have LEDs got to do with one of the coolest places in the US? Well, you just need to see the Venice Electric Light Parade and seek out Sebastien The Light Man to find out. In 2008 Sebastien felt compelled to link LED wires around his bike. The result? A funky (and extra-safe) way of getting around town that attracted many admiring glances and an instant call for demand. The Venice Light Parade itself sees dozens don their bikes with an eclectic mix of dazzling LED lights before riding through the streets of California. And the result is pretty unique...
