LED lighting isn’t just worthwhile to save money it is often used in new buildings or refurbishments to create stunning lighting schemes. Today we’re showing the process of an outhouse conversion into a modern, stylish gym and games room with the work done by
SJD Electrical. The building was taken from a shell and transformed in a contemporary space with both design and practicality in mind.
Skylights were put in the ceiling to give extra natural light to great effect. These were enhanced to offer light in the evening with
LED strip lighting. They were expertly hidden in plastic architrave around the roof space.
To also allow this out building to be enjoyed after dark
GU10 downlights were fitted into the ceiling, giving consistent yet subtle light. The LED spotlights used were 5w GU10s and chrome downlight fittings.
Giving more understated lighting a multiple arm arched floor lamp reaches over the sofa area. This uses 5
E14 LED bulbs. Outside the refurbishment was also given a lighting makeover.
Outdoor up & down lights are used to great effect, complementing the brick work of the building.
This out-house is now a versatile space and can be used day and night thanks to its LED lighting scheme.
