Q: Which is better, the normal GU10 or the CREE integrated downlight? A: The CREE integrated downlight is available in 9 and 12 watt versions, so provides a strong, bright light in either warm white, cool white or daylight. It is dimmable and has a smaller cutout than the GU10 downlighters, at 55mm as opposed to 70mm. The GU10 fittings offer flexibility in that you can tailor the lamp choice to suit your requirements. Also in the event of a lamp failure or change of mind, the lamp can be replaced without having to remove the fitting. This means that they both have different plus points. In general most people use GU10 fittings in their home. ![]() |
