But balancing on them is a nightmare. There are also segways, of course. But they’re big, cumbersome and you’re likely to knock people flying when you take it down the street. So, how about a mix of the two? That’s exactly what the SmartGlider is - a self balancing, electric scooter, some even refer to as a hover board. This means it’ll hit speeds of up to 10mph, which is actually pretty fast when you think jogging is approximately 5-6mph. The SmartGlider isself balancing too, which makes it far easier to learn. Most users say you’ll have the hang of it in under an hour, so you’ll be scooting around town in no time. And that’s without having a sore backside for your efforts. Weighing a petite 13kg, it’s super lightweight. If you’re going to the shops it won’t constantly be a burden. To get it going you just need to step on the pads which trigger the dual motor. Then you just need to lean forwards orbackwards to get it moving. Easy. This electric balance boardonly takes 1-2 hours to charge, and with it being completely electric it’s environmentally friendly.
